1957 Release: Introduced as the brand's first dedicated dive watch, initially branded under both "Jean Richard" and "Aquastar" on the dial.
The Brand Launch: The success of the Model 60 led to Aquastar becoming its own formal independent sub-brand in 1962 under waterman and watchmaker Frédéric Robert.
Mariana Trench (1960): Captain Don Walsh wore an original Model 60 on his wrist inside the bathyscaphe Trieste during the historic descent to Challenger Deep.

The Aquastar Model 60 is a historic 1957 Aquastar skin diver created by JeanRichard, famous for defining early tool-watch design and descending into the Mariana Trench.
Origins and Evolution
a perfectly proportioned divers watch measuring 37mm , the dial is extremely well preserved and has even picked up a gorgeous tropical patina.
